The Knight Digital Media Center @ USC Annenberg was originally created in April 2006 by a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation to focus on helping journalists and news organizations succeed in the digital landscape. It is built on the foundation of the Western Knight Center for Specialized Journalism (WKConline.org) which trained more than 750 professional journalist between 2000 and 2006, as well as providing at least 75,000 more journalists with access to resources and online training opportunities. | knightdigitalmediacenter.org | @KDMC

Journalist’s Resource
Based at Harvard’s Shorenstein Center, the Journalist’s Resource project examines news topics through a research lens; we focus on surfacing scholarly materials that may be relevant to other media practitioners, bloggers, educators, students and general readers. We invite all those interested in policy and public affairs to use the site’s materials. No registration is required; the materials are free and are under a Creative Commons license. Journalism Accelerator
The Journalism Accelerator is an online information exchange connecting publishers across news and information networks. This is a place for conversation, a resource hub and a community of diverse knowledge. The JA exposes new possibilities for financial sustainability in journalism, showcases promising experiments and provides practical information to help publishers work smarter. The Data Journalism Handbook
The Data Journalism Handbook is a free, open source reference book for anyone interested in the emerging field of data journalism. It was born at a 48 hour workshop at MozFest 2011 in London. It subsequently spilled over into an international, collaborative effort involving dozens of data journalism’s leading advocates and best practitioners – including from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the BBC, the Chicago Tribune, Deutsche Welle, the Guardian, the Financial Times, Helsingin Sanomat, La Nacion, the New York Times, ProPublica, the Washington Post, the Texas Tribune, Verdens Gang, Wales Online, Zeit Online and many others. | datajournalismhandbook.org | @ddjournalism
