On Thursday, Jan. 29, the newsroom and non-newsroom bargaining committees each met with management and presented our latest full proposals.
Articles and sections within the contract where neither party are proposing changes were tentatively agreed to. The union committees explained our proposed changes, including a reduction in pension contribution amounts in exchange for moving an equal total amount to wages and a 2 percent wage increase in 2016. Management will respond to the union’s proposals at the next bargaining sessions scheduled for March 12.
